Lomaki Trail Update

July 19, 2021

Almost There!

In the August 2020 edition, we highlighted this two-year project of upgrades to the Lomaki Trail at Wupatki National Monument. In this issue, we are excited to report the anticipated conclusion of the project in 2021!

The Americorps Youth Volunteers and Park crew has been back at it, cutting, shaping, hauling, lifting, and placing stone along the pathways to access and view the Lomaki and Box Canyon Pueblos.

The trail remains open, with only temporary closures from time to time, to manage safe access for visitors. Put this trail back on your list as it is soon ready to welcome you back!
