We had hoped that the partnership with Historic Brewing Company would yield a brown lager, known as Dunkel that would be available in October or early November. Unfortunately, Historic Brewing has had some issues with distribution and kegs and consequently, our partnership brew has been delayed until early next year. When the brew is done a launch party will be scheduled, so stay tuned.
This past weekend a small group of people attended the writing workshop presented by local writer Rose Houk. Rose is the Artist in Residence at Wupatki for the month of November.
The air was cold and brisk with a light wind but the skies were blue and the landscape alive with brilliant reds, pinks, and grays. It was a marvelous experience to write about the beauty of the area and share thoughts and reflections with a published author. She will host another writing opportunity this Saturday, November 19th.
When: November 19th, 2022 10:00 am – 11:30 am
Where: Meet at Wupatki Visitor Center at 10:00 am
How: No signup is required. Dress in Layers and plan for cool weather. The first ten people to arrive will receive blank journals and writing implements.
An hour will be spent outdoors near Wupatki Pueblo committing thoughts and reflections on paper about this amazing place.
Rose Houk is a Flagstaff-based writer. She is a naturalist, guide, author, and editor of books and audio pieces about national parks and monuments.
